Cutting Above the Rest Gardening Services

1. Service Agreement

  • All services provided by Cutting Above the Rest Gardening Services are agreed upon in advance with the client.
  • Work will be carried out to a professional standard, with reasonable care and skill.

2. Quotations

  • Quotations are provided free of charge and are based on the information available at the time.
  • Validity: All quoted prices are valid for 14 days (2 weeks) from the date of issue. After this period, prices may be subject to change.

3. Preparation of works

Preparation may begin approximately 2–3 weeks prior to the start date, including:

  • Planning and site visits
  • Ordering materials
  • Scheduling labour and equipment
  • Ground preparation or clearance

If a job is cancelled after preparation has begun a payment of all preparation-related costs will be required. This will include a minimum of 20% of the total project cost and any materials purchased will be fully chargeable.

4. Payments

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Late Payments: If payment is not received within the agreed time frame, a 5% late fee will be added each month to the outstanding balance.
  • Cutting Above the Rest reserves the right to suspend or cancel future services until overdue payments are settled.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee.

6. Liability

  • Cutting Above the Rest Gardening Services will not be held liable for any pre-existing damage to property or gardens.
  • We are not responsible for issues arising from factors outside our control (e.g., weather conditions, pests, or client-provided materials).

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must ensure access to the property at the agreed time.
  • The working area must be clear for services to be carried out safely and effectively. This includes:
    • Removal of garden furniture, toys, or other equipment.
    • Ensuring dog mess or other hazards are cleaned prior to our arrival.
    • Any restrictions (e.g. locked gates, parking limitations) should be communicated in advance.
    • Keep pets/children away from work areas.
    • Inform of underground pipes/cables.
    • Ensure permissions are in place if required.
  • If the above client responsibilities are not met and, as a result, our team is unable to carry out the agreed work upon arrival, a call-out fee of 50% of the total service cost will be applied. This charge covers time, travel, and the loss of scheduled working time. Clients are encouraged to notify us in advance of any issues so that we can rearrange the service where possible.

8. Weather Dependency

  • All work is weather dependent. If conditions prevent us from completing the job on the booked date, we will reschedule at the earliest possible convenience.
  • Cutting Above the Rest is not liable for delays caused by adverse weather.

9. Amendments

Cutting Above the Rest Gardening Services reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
